Everybody deserves a night off so take yours whenever and call it a leftover night!

Now you're probably wondering how the heck you make this stuff.  Well...a lot of it you just use common sense.  For example, the popcorn chicken you can find in the freezer aisle.  I like to make dinner easy so very rarely do I spend more than an hour preparing or getting the meal from the stove to the table.  Some may call it lazy...I call it being a mom!  I'll ask my "techie" friends if I can post recipes or if the blog police will get me so check back to see the recipes later.  Here was our weekly shopping list...ours was big because I didn't have a lot of the ingredients I'm using this week but don't worry, normal people probably do:)  My list is organized by the grocery store by my house...I'm taking suggestions on a better way to organize the blog list so that it works for everyone instead of (selfishly) just me.

Shopping List:
Veggies: onion, shredded lettuce, green pepper, Caesar salad kit, lettuce (or salad kit)
Ground sirloin (3 lbs.)
Chicken Breasts (2 lbs.)
Linguine Noodles
Pesto Sauce
Spaghetti sauce
Parmesan cheese
Pizza Crust
Pineapple chunks
Italian Seasoned Bread Crumbs
Taco Seasoning
White vinegar
Soy sauce
Italian seasoning
Crushed Red Pepper flakes
Bag Grilled chicken strips
Shredded cheese: sharp cheddar, colby/monterey jack, mozzerala
Crescent rolls
Eggs
Sour cream
Frozen corn
3 loaves frozen bread dough
Frozen popcorn chicken
Frozen egg rolls

Patience, Darling Patience...

Okay, so I'm brand new to this blogging thing so give me a chance okay.  I've decided that I have something helpful to share with the world.  You may be thinking that it's something really great and life changing.  In reality...it's just another blog. However, my amazing friends convinced me that I had something of value to share.  Do you have a grocery shopping day?  We do, it's every Sunday morning.  We drink a gallon of coffee, write a weekly dinner menu, make a grocery list, rewrite the grocery list by aisle (don't make fun), look at coupons and organize them by aisle (seriously don't make fun),  and then do rock, paper, scissors to see who has to endure this atrocity we call the grocery store.  How is this useful to you?  Well, when you find yourself repeating the same meal for the 8th week in a row you may be thinking it's time to spice it up a bit.  Here is where I come in.  I work really hard to never repeat the same meal in a three week time span.  I'm also constantly looking for new cookbooks (most of them given to me by my amazing Aunt), recipes, and creating my own rendition of an old family favorite.  I try hard to serve my family nutritious, well-balanced meals (not that the baby eats half of what I prepare but maybe you'll have better luck).  Anyway, I'm creating a space that will be updated every Sunday morning with the weeks menu's as my family sees fit.  I'll post our menu along with our shopping list.  Use or lose it but maybe it will help you come up with some new spark for the kitchen.  After all, half the battle is just answering the question..."What's For Dinner"?...and I'm doing that for you:)
Enjoy,
Kate
